MA in Global and International Social Policy - Careers
In this course, you will develop academic and technical skills enabling you to:
- Think critically about global social policy formulation and implementation
- Gain an understanding of the role and function of international agencies in tackling social problems at various levels, from poverty and crime to global inequity and the spread of disease
- The course addresses the world's pressing global social problems: world poverty, global inequality, the global health crisis, the implications of global ageing, migration and trafficking, international crime, as well as analyses of the world's response in terms of emerging Global Social Policies
- You will gain comprehensive training in research methods appropriate to studying transnational social policy
These academic skills in addition to non-academic experience in an international organization or international non-governmental organization should provide you excellent preparation in looking for job. We plan for our graduates to pursue careers working for an international organization, international charities, regional commissions, and international business. Our graduates will be able to work in policy research and analysis as well as in frontline services, as our modules offer instruction in both academic and practical areas.
