Festival celebrates social science in Sheffield
Climate change, voting rights of prisoners and food security are just some of the issues falling under the spotlight at the University of Sheffield next week as part of the Economic and Social Research Council´s (ESRC) annual Festival of Social Science (29 October-5 November 2011).
Members of the public – from schoolchildren to politicians – are welcome to attend the host of public debates, conferences, workshops, interactive seminars, film screenings and virtual exhibitions to receive a fascinating insight into some of the country's leading social science research.
The ESRC Festival of Social Science, which is in its ninth year, demonstrates how social sciences influence lives on a social, economic and political level both now and in the future.
