BMedSci Nursing Studies (SHU)
Who is it for:
This programme is for students from Sheffield Hallam University who have completed their Advanced Nursing Diploma and want to undertake the necessary credits for a degree. We can only take SHU students on this programme.
Students must commence this programme within 2 years of completing the Advanced Nursing Diploma at SHU and the units are normally completed within 12 months.

Course Structure:
20 credits from:
SNM3135 Research appreciation and application (20)
SNM3182 Promoting evidence based practice (20)
40 credits from:
Students cannot commence the dissertation unit until they have successfully completed 20 credits from the research appreciation and application or evidence based practice units.
Please note that the dissertation unit is not usually funded through Learning Beyond Registration (LBR) funds, therefore if you wish to undertake this unit you will need to self-fund.

If successful in your application for the programme you will receive a confirmation email with the exact details of the location of teaching for each unit, closer to the start date.
The School of Nursing and Midwifery is now based at Barber House Annexe, 3a Clarkehouse Road, Sheffield; opposite the Royal Hallamshire Hospital however teaching may take place across the University site. How to apply:Once you have decided which units you wish to study and in which order, please complete the online application form applying for both units on one form. You will need to acknowledge that you are a SHU graduate on the fees and funding form that will be emailed to you once you apply.
