Research

Following the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise, nursing at The University of Sheffield is now ranked among the top ten in the UK for research that is considered world leading, with 50% of our research being considered of internationally excellent quality.

Collaborative research

We are actively engaged in research collaborations with other schools and major research institutes within the University. These include: the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR); the Sheffield Institute for Studies on Ageing (SISA); and the Centre for the Study of Childhood and Youth (CSCY). These symbiotic relationships are giving rise to many creative research opportunities.

Staff and postgraduate students engage in Research and Development (R&D) which integrates work between our research groups.
