The School benefits from, and contributes to the University of Sheffield’s strong research culture. It has well developed links, within the University, with other Departments and major research Institutes and Centres. These include the Centre for the Study of Childhood and Youth (CSCY), the Sheffield Institute for Studies on Ageing (SISA), the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) and the Academic Unit of Supportive Care. Our staff and students conduct high quality research of national and international standing and in the last, national Research Assessment Exercise (RAE), which reported in 2008, we were ranked among the top ten Nursing and Midwifery Schools in the UK.
