Funding

Scholarships from the University of Sheffield and external sources are available for new UK, EU and International postgraduates to help cover tuition fees and living expenses.

These include:

The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) is the principal source of external funding for postgraduate study in Applied Languages. The AHRC has awarded the University of Sheffield a number of studentships in specified subject areas and for specified schemes (Research Preparation Masters, Professional Preparation Masters and Doctoral). AHRC funded studentships are now available through the AHRC Block Grant Partnership (BGP).

Through the BGP, the University is awarding studentships to prospective postgraduate students, on a competitive basis and subject to AHRC approval. EU nationals accepted to study on programmes and in subject areas for which BGP studentships have been allocated will be eligible for nomination to AHRC. For further details including the subject areas covered please follow the link given above.
