We hope you will feel at home in Sheffield from your very first day. You will find the environment at both Sheffield International College and the University of Sheffield very welcoming, and will meet university students of all nationalities and cultures and form friendships which may last a lifetime.
The friendly social events organised by the many university student societies at the University of Sheffield showcase the cultural diversity on campus. Favourite events include Chinese New Year festivities; Global Flavas; International Food Evening; and Global Fiesta, a week-long celebration of the international university student community.

The Union of University Students – the centre of campus life
The University of Sheffield's multi-award winning University Student Union has something for everyone. Shops, restaurants, a cinema, a bank, and a travel agency are all located in one convenient building. It also offers male and female prayer rooms, quiet study spaces, and a full sports and entertainment programme.
