Biographical details

I joined the Public Health GIS Unit in 2001.

Research Interests

 Spatial epidemiology. Data management technologies. High Performance Computing. Data visualisation.

Teaching

I teach on the Master in Public Health and Statistics with Medical Applications postgraduate programmes.

Professional Activities

I represent ScHARR on the Research Computing Advisory Group. This group makes recommendations on the development and use of High Performance Computing for research purposes within the University of Sheffield. The group also liaises with the White Rose Grid, of which Sheffield is a collaborative partner. Within ScHARR I represent the Section of Public Health at ScHARR's internal IT group meetings where departmental IT requirements and strategy are formulated.
