Biography

I graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2008 with BA (Hons) in Geography, and subsequently completed the Masters in Public Health in Health Services Research here at ScHARR. In October 2009 I started my PhD within the Public Health Section of ScHARR.

Research Interests

My research interests are:

I am a member of the Kettil Bruun Society for social and epidemiological research on alcohol and the University of Sheffield Social and Health Research Group (SHRG).

PhD Thesis

My PhD focuses on the relationship between health and alcohol consumption in older adults. In particular, exploring whether or not older adults modify their alcohol consumption habits when they experience a change in health status (such as diagnosis of a limiting long-term condition).

I am funded by the Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care South Yorkshire (CLAHRC-SY) Health Inequalities Implementation Theme.
