ScHARR is home to the section of Public Health, a dynamic and rapidly expanding multi-disciplinary research and teaching group. The core interest of this group is in improving the health of the public at local, regional, national and international levels, through research informed teaching, our programme of applied research and close involvement with Public Health England, NICE, local authorities in South Yorkshire and beyond, and a whole range of international partner organisations.

The section is multi-disciplinary and our staff include: sociologists, psychologists, policy and management researchers, public health specialists, epidemiologists, public health specialist registrars, information scientists and systematic reviewers, international health specialists, pharmacists, dietitians, health visitors and health services researchers.
