Biography
I joined the Information Resources Group, HEDS in May 2008 as an Information Specialist (Public Health). I joined ScHARR in October 2006 as a Research Associate on the Evaluation of Supplementary Prescribing in Nursing and Pharmacy. Prior to this, I worked as a Research Assistant in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, University of Sheffield on a project examining the empowerment of front line staff by nurses in advanced clinical roles.
Research interests
My interests lie in health services research with a particular interest in new roles and information. I obtained my PhD in 2005 from the University of Sheffield. It examined the impact of the MMR vaccine scare on parents in terms of their decision making and information requirements. I also have an MSc in Information Management with a specific interest in health information management.
