Biography
I am a Research Associate in the School of Health and Related Research (ScHARR) at the University of Sheffield. I have 5 years experience working in computer vision research and 5 years experience working in the telecare and assistive technology field. In 2005, I obtained my PhD from EPFL in Switzerland for my work on face recognition and since 2006 I have been Research Associate working in several assistive technology projects .

Professional Activities
I am an external reviewer for several Journals and Conferences. I am also a member of the technical committee for the 4th International Conference on Intelligent Robotics and Applications (ICIRA2011).
I have awarded a Healthcare Seed Fund to prepare research funding applications on Video-based technologies for ambient assisted living in collaboration with the department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
I am a Honorary Research Fellow at the Department of Computer Science and Honorary Researcher at Barnsley Hospital.

- “Detection of Urinary Uract Infection (UTI) from Home Activity Data.” Funded by the EPSRC Knowledge Transfer Account.
- Self Management supported by Assistive, Rehabilitation and Telecare Technologies (SMART).” Funded by the EPSRC.
