Biography

I started working for the University in 2004 and prior to that worked in the Voluntary sector in a variety of settings in mental health or conflict resolution. I am currently based within the Centre for Psychological Services Research (CPSR) and in addition to working as a researcher in the Centre, I advise the CPSR executive team and staff on Public and Patient Involvement (PPI). As a long term user of health services, I bring a service user perspective to all my work and have much experience of involving users and carers in health and social care services and in research.

Research Interests

Professional activities

I have also undertaken work for a number of national organisations including Shaping our Lives, INVOLVE, Mind and the Royal College of Psychiatrists and locally for Sheffield Health and Social Care Trust and the Clinical Psychology Unit, University of Sheffield.
