Biography
I joined the University of Sheffield in 2001 initially working as a researcher in the Trent Institute and then as project manager for the Review Body for Interventional Procedures (ReBIP).
Since 2007 I have been the project manager for the DAVROS project (Development and Validation of Risk-adjusted Outcomes for Systems of emergency medical care).
Current Project
"Development and Validation of Risk-adjusted Outcomes for Systems of emergency medical care" – DAVROS. An MRC funded project due to finish in September 2011 aimed at developing a risk-adjustment model than can be used for medical patients admitted via the emergency department. Research partners: Yorkshire Ambulance Service, East Midlands Ambulance Service, Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, University Hospitals of Leicester, Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals, Northampton General Hospital, York Teaching Hospital, Barnsley District General Hospital, Rotherham District General Hospital, Joseph Epstein Centre for Emergency Medicine Research (Melbourne), Prince of Wales Hospital (Sha Tin, Hong Kong).
