Chest Pain Research

The department of Health Services Research has carried out research into chest pain in emergency care for many years, publishing extensively and undertaking large multi-centre trials.

Studies to date include:

• ESCAPE - Effectiveness and safety of chest pain assessment to prevent emergency admissions
• RATPAC - Randomised assessment of treatment using panel assay of cardiac markers
