Biography
Prior to joining CTRU I worked for a commercial Contract Research Organisation as a Clinical Research Associate in this role my responsibilities were:
- Set up and monitoring of a Phase I oncology study (including site initiations and routine monitoring visits; SDV, writing monitoring reports and follow up letters)
- Set up of a phase III oncology study
- Complete responsibility for an asthma medical device study (including ethics and R&D submissions, site initiation and routine monitoring visits and close out visits)
- Close out visits for a dermatology device study
- Review and QC of monitoring SOPs
- Working closely with sponsor companies to deliver projects on time
- Writing patient information sheets and other study documentation
Previously I have also worked for a major Danish pharmaceutical company and held lab based post doctoral positions.
I joined the University in January 2009 as a Trials Co-ordinator, on the REEACT Trial. My role has expanded to include helping to develop a quality assurance function for the Clinical Trials Research Unit.
I am currently Trial Co-ordinator and Quality Assurance Manager
