Biography
I joined the University of Sheffield in 2011 after completing a PhD and working for a number of years at the University of York. I have an undergraduate degree in engineering, a postgraduate degree in cultural studies, and a PhD in quantitative sociology. While at York I worked as a qualitative researcher at the Centre for Housing Policy (CHP) and as a systematic reviewer at the Centre for Reviews and Dissemination (CRD). I have also worked as a freelance statistician for consultancies involved in measuring employee engagement and leadership aptitude.
I became interested in methods of economic evaluation for health interventions while working at CRD on NICE health technology assessments. I began working at HEDS, based at the DSU, as an economic modeller in August 2011, and have since been involved in range of research projects and activities.
