Biography
I graduated from the University of Oxford in 1975. I later obtained an MPhil and a DPhil from the same institution, and in 2002 obtained an MSc in Health Services Research and Technology Assessment from the University of Sheffield. I joined ScHARR in 1995 from Trent Regional Health Authority, where I was a Policy Development Manager.
I am currently a systematic reviewer within ScHARR-TAG.
Research Interests
- Systematic review and meta-analysis of evidence for clinical effectiveness
- Application and development of methods for the systematic review and synthesis of qualitative research studies in the field of health services research
Professional Activities
I am a member of ScHARR-TAG, and chair the Systematic Reviewers' Academic Development Group.
Current Projects
I am currently involved in a systematic review of qualitative research on the dimensions of quality of life important to people with mental health disorders. This research has been commissioned by the Medical Research Council.
