Biography
I trained as an orthoptist at University of Sheffield, and have worked in both Leicester and Sheffield. My experiences as a health care professional led to an interest in evidence-based medicine and a secondment to a research study based at ScHARR investigating the impact of age-related macular degeneration upon quality of life. I joined ScHARR as a research associate in 2005.
Research Interests
My research interests are health-related quality of life and ophthalmology.
Current Projects
I am currently undertaking a fellowship, as part of a Researcher Development Award through the National Co-ordinating Centre for Research Capacity Development (NCCRCD), a programme funded by the Department of Health. My PhD is to design a paediatric disease-specific health related quality of life measure for amblyopia. Details of the research project can be found on this page.
