Why choose the MSc in Psychotherapy Studies?
The programme is designed to further the Continuing Professional Development of counsellors, psychotherapists and other mental health practitioners but is not intended as a training in the practice of psychotherapy. It is a unique and cutting edge Masters programme which can be taken entirely online. We use a specially developed multimedia learning environment, and provide student support through our purpose-built, confidential chatrooms and discussion groups that are used only by learners and teachers on this course. Feedback shows that the units are more satisfactory and lead to greater learning than equivalent face-to-face teaching.
ScHARR was confirmed as the top UK university department for health services research in the 2008 Research Assessment Exercise. The School has the largest concentration of world-class and international researchers, above other leading universities such as the London School of Hygiene, York and Manchester.
