ScHARR welcomed a new cohort of students on its courses this September. A full range of Intro Week activities were planned, culminating in a drinks reception that followed a keynote lecture by Professor Danny Dorling on mapping inequalities. These were all very well attended and the drinks reception included not only the newly arrived students, but also staff, post-graduate research students and students in the current cohort. There were opportunities at the reception to see posters of post-graduate research student work, and the event, like those in previous years, proved very successful in allowing the new students to meet not just other students, but also academic and administrative staff in ScHARR."
