Czech: Level 2 structure

In your Level 2 Czech modules, you´ll focus on expanding your vocabulary, your speaking ability, and your knowledge about the Czech Republic. You will also expand your reading abilities and knowledge of Czech culture by reading a variety of texts in the original language. By year's end lessons are conducted almost entirely in Czech.

The Level 2 language course makes use of an IT language learning package produced here at Sheffield, which integrates listening and productive skills with automated feedback. By the end of the year, you´ll have the knowledge and skills to undertake further study in the Czech Republic.

The culture course at Level 2 gets you reading Czech literature and a variety of other texts that give a flavour for aspects of Czech culture. Students read and discuss texts and use them as the basis for a portfolio of activities about Czech culture. The web-based course we´ve produced has been specially tailored for Sheffield students and their interests.
