Open access publications

Many sponsors now require that all publications resulting from research they have funded are available in an open access location. The research is funded publicly and therefore the findings of the research should be made as widely and freely available as practically possible. There are a number of different ways to achieve compliance depending on both the research funder and journals/publishers concerned.

See The University of Sheffield Open Access Guidance pages for advice on making your own publications Open Access and complying with your Sponsor.

Open Access Key Guidance contains general information on the different Open Access Models available.
