The EPSRC Knowledge Transfer Account at University of Sheffield has a team of scientists, known as the Development Hot House (DHH), who are a responsive, full-time resource for our EPSRC funded academics. Qualified to doctorate level the team offers you a breadth of laboratory, industrial and project management expertise. Their technical and analytical knowledge has been applied both in UoS labs and companies including Oxford Instruments, IBM and TRW. To access this adaptive resource you should have, or seek to have, an external partner who is interested to further develop an area of EPSRC-initiated research.
Successful allocation of DHH resources to your project can include:
- Up to 3 months of hands-on time
- Project management to support scoping projects, defining milestones, setting budgets and celebrating success
- Identification and assessment of potential industrial partners
- Joined up working with UoS support services to protect your intellectual property until appropriate disclosure (publishing, patent filing, commercialization)
