Application Procedures for Postgraduate Research Study in Psychology

If you have funding available for three years, the required academic qualifications and you can meet the required standards in English language the next step is to find a suitable supervisor for your research project.

We ask that you seek and secure supervision and have funding arranged before a formal application is made to the university.

You should already have either an idea of the area of research or a specific proposal you wish study. To identify a research supervisor whose interests cover your area of interest/proposal please see our current PhD opportunities or our staff pages.

Please download the Applicant Enquiry Form from the right-hand link on this page and fully complete sections 1-5.

Once completed please email the form together with the following information to Josie Cassidy:

• CV
• Transcript(s)
• IELTS certificate or equivalent (where applicable)
• Outline of your research

Your application enquiry will then be passed to the supervisor you have named on your form for consideration.

Should supervision be agreed then you will be asked to make a formal application to the university.
