Setting up email distribution lists in Thunderbird

This guide explains how to set up email distribution lists in the email client Thunderbird. It was written using the Macintosh, but should still be useful as a guide to the PC version.

Firstly, load up Thunderbird and select the Address book icon on the toolbar at the top of the window:

This should open your address book, next select the new list icon at the top of this screen:

Enter a name for the list, a shorter nickname, a description if you wish and finally enter the full email address's of anyone you wish to be in the list.

To send an email to the list, all you need to do is compose an email and enter the name or nick name of your distribution list. This will send this email to all receipients listed earlier.
