About the course1 year full time/2 years part time This course looks at the roles of religion and religious language in the media: television, newspapers, websites, blogs and social networking. There is an emphasis on the construction of religion in relation to violence. You'll have the opportunity to develop research skills in cultural studies, content analysis and critical theory. Run in partnership with the Department of Journalism Studies. Entry requirementsMinimum 2:1 honours degree, or equivalent, in any arts or social science subject. Exceptions are considered on an individual basis. English language requirements for overseas studentsIELTS 7.0 (with no less than 6.5 in each part), or TOEFL iBT 100, or equivalent.
