Many funded PhD projects are available throughout the year. Some of these projects are in competition for funding with the other projects. Usually the project which receives the best applicant will be awarded the funding.

EPSRC PhD studentships network – Part of the ERDF Project “Big Energy Upgrade” - 3 PhD studentships

This EPSRC PhD studentships network pulls together a multi disciplinary research team from the Management School, ScHARR, Psychology, Civil Engineering, Computer Science and the Information School, to examine some of the big challenges faced by mankind and the world. The challenges examined in this network span from climate change, fuel poverty, energy and environment, changing face of digital world, to health.
