Commonwealth Scholarship & Fellowship Plan
The Commonwealth Scholarship & Fellowship Plan (CSFP) is one of the most prestigious schemes for international study and professional development in the world. They offer scholarships to enable Commonwealth citizens to study in the UK on a programme of taught or research postgraduate study.
The selection of candidates is a partnership between the UK and the applicant's country of origin. It is the responsibility of the Commonwealth Scholarships agency in the applicant's country to advertise the awards and make the required number of nominations to the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission in the UK, who will select the final recipients.
Award details
The total value of a Commonwealth Scholarship varies a little according to the applicant's country of origin. The Scholarship comprises the cost of the Overseas tuition fees; a monthly maintenance stipend; one return air fare from the applicant's country of origin; and an allowance for necessary books and materials.
Awards for doctoral study are tenable for a maximum of three years subject to satisfactory progress. Awards for Masters study are tenable for one year.
