Departmental Seminar Series

Our Departmental Seminars are open to postgraduate research students and academic staff. They provide a setting for intellectual debate, sharing ideas and collaboration.

We invite world leading academics to attend our Seminar Series as guest speakers, to present their current research and to engage in intellectual debate. The series also provides a forum for academics from within our department to present work in progress and to receive constructive feedback.

The seminars give an opportunity for us to bring in non-academic groups working in politics, so as to broaden our understanding of 'real world' politics as well as to foster potential collaboration. We also welcome expert practitioners to share best practice on topics such as research grant writing, media engagement, creating non-academic impact and on various new innovations in teaching and learning.
