Research Culture
The Department´s research culture aims to promote, sustain and develop research excellence. Sheffield is a broad-based Department, combining engagement across most of the major disciplinary sub-fields with a distinct research philosophy which recognises that the most insightful new research findings can often be found at the boundaries of knowledge and theory. The Department thus deliberately adopts a notably pluralist and cross-cutting approach to the pursuit of research.
