BA History and Politics

This dual honours degree will provide you with the opportunity to investigate contemporary politics and political theory, with the broader perspective provided by the investigation of the historical context.

Although the main focus of the degree is modern history and politics, the flexible structure of the degree enables you to choose courses from earlier periods. Our inter-disciplinary curriculum helps you to understand the history and politics of a wide range of different periods and regions of the world. Our students gain a range of personal transferable skills, including communication and presentation skills, working in groups, writing reports and essays, gathering information and planning projects.
