The Department has Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) outlet status for research studentships (including CASE), making it a recognised centre of excellence for research in politics.

Our track record in successfully completed research degrees is excellent, as is our track record in securing funded studentships from the ESRC.

Students undertaking the research track for MA in Political Theory also have funding opportunities from the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC).
