Why does the National Student Survey matter?

All Level 3 students will have received an email about the National Student Survey. We wanted to add to that an appeal to complete the survey.

The NSS signals to prospective students important information about Politics at Sheffield. But, it is also looked at very closely by the Department as it reviews its teaching and learning practices. Current students are already the beneficiaries of previous students' voices expressed through the NSS. For example: a previous NSS identified a relatively low score in the feedback category. This led to a focus group being run with students which in turn led to the department introducing exam feedback office hours for the first time this year – something all students will be emailed about soon.

So, this is not just another survey – it makes a difference and it has already made a difference for you in various ways. Please take 5 minutes to complete the online form.
