About Sheffield and its region

Sheffield is England's fourth largest city, with a population of around half a million. It is well located for easy access to all parts of the UK (only two hours to London by train).

The city has a high proportion of green space within its boundaries and is surrounded by beautiful countryside, being situated on the edge of the Peak District National Park.

Sheffield has an excellent reputation for clubs, theatre, cinema and sport.

Perhaps most important of all, Sheffield is a friendly city, which is often referred to as 'the largest village in England'.
