The University of Sheffield
Department of Physics and Astronomy

Open day

Departmental open days

If you apply for a place and you’re expected to meet our entry requirements we’ll invite you to a department open day. It’s a great chance to get to know the department better. You’ll spend the day with staff and students. They’ll tell you more about their courses and the research they do. Physics open days are held between November and March – you will have a choice of dates and will be called to interview during your visit. We strongly encourage you to attend one of these open days as it will provide you with a clear picture of our Department and provides plenty of opportunities to ask any questions you may have.

Our open days start at 10:45 and finish by 15:15, although the day is slightly longer if you are interested in one of our dual degrees.

Travel information is available from http://www.sheffield.ac.uk/visitors. The post code for the Department is S3 7RH (Hicks Building, Hounsfield Road).

For further information on our open days please contact our admissions secretary Mrs Ann Davis on 0114 2224362, email a.davis@sheffield.ac.uk
