Host a student project
Would you like someone to help you develop teaching resources in physics or astronomy?
Our third-year Group Project team would like to hear from you! In the Schools Group Project, a team of four or five third-year students will work with you to develop a resource (web site, piece of equipment or learning pack) that you need for your teaching. The students learn about teamwork, communicating science and engineering (for equipment) or software design: with luck, you get something that's useful in the classroom. (Note: because our students have a range of abilities, we cannot absolutely guarantee that the end product will meet your requirements - but we'll do our best.)
Recent projects have included:
- An astronomy teaching resource pack for Notre Dame School
- A motor and generator to demonstrate Faraday's laws for Tapton School
- Astronomy-related activities for Key Stages 2 and 3 for Kelham Island Museum
