We provide a vibrant and friendly environment for postgraduate study, offering the opportunity to carry out research at the leading edge of physics and astronomy. We have highly active research groups in a wide range of areas, from fundamental to applied, and have an international reputation for the quality of our research (grade 5 in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise).
