Membership of the Physics and Astronomy Art Group
Thank you for your interest in the group. We want very much to work with colleagues across the University with whom we share interests, but also to keep clear the specific identify of the group and its location within Science and also to avoid the group becoming unmanageably large.
We therefore offer two sorts of membership of the group:
Departmental membership
Departmental membership is open to all staff and students and their families in the department of Physics and Astronomy.
We would also like to extend departmental membership to any ex-members of the Physics and Astronomy department who would like to stay in contact via this group.
Associate membership
Associate membership is available to all current staff and postgraduate students at the University of Sheffield.
If we reach the point where there is a cluster of people in a particular department or Faculty large enough to form a discrete group, we would encourage
them to do so. This could open up all sorts of possibilities for joint activities, exhibitions, sales of work etc, and for individuals of connecting with colleagues who they might never otherwise have met who are doing interesting work. There could also be some interesting potential for collaborations that explicitly address arts-science issues.
