Researcher's Responsibility
It is the responsibility of all staff and students researchers to familiarize themselves with the content of the Research Ethics Policy (The policy can be found in the website above). It is also the responsibility of the lead researcher (e.g. the principle investigator or supervisor) to decide whether ethics approval is required and which ethics review procedure is applicable.
In general approval is needed for all research activity involving human participants, personal data or human tissue.

Departmental Review Panel
The Department of Philosophy has in place an ethics review panel, designed to act as a forum in which ethical issues can be raised and discussed.
