The Departmental Seminar is central to the academic life of the Department, and runs every week in term time.

The Departmental Seminars run on Fridays from 2.30 to 4.30pm in Hicks Building LT-4. Speakers send their paper in advance, and speak for 30 minutes, followed by discussion. After the meeting, discussion usually continues in a local pub.
