PHI123Banner

Outline:

The aim of this half-module is to introduce the central questions in the philosophy of science by identifying those features in science, which have been philosophically puzzling. We shall look at how scientific explanations work, how scientific theories are tested and how far we can treat science as revealing to us the truth about the underlying nature of reality.
