Visitor parking
Open or visit days
Students and parents attending planned open or visit days should check the Recruitment and Admissions Visit Day site for details of any special arrangements for the day or click on the University's Travel to the University site link on the right.
Small parties of visitors
Parking arrangements for individuals or small parties of visitors should be made in advance by the host department. Permits are valid only on the printed date and must be prominently displayed in the visitor's vehicle to which they relate.
Prepaid visitor permits
Prepaid visitor permits are valid in any Category C car park or designated visitor space. Spaces can be booked in advance via email up to 12 noon on the preceding working day and will be reserved until one hour after the expected time of arrival. The permits are £3.20 each and for bulk users can be purchased in batches of 20 from Parking Services. They must not be issued for Category C use without prior notification to EFM Helpdesk.
Arts Tower Visitor Parking
Only pre-booked visitors may park in the 20 designated visitor parking spaces. Short stay visitor spaces are available for a maximum of 1 hour, these cannot be reserved.
Unpaid visitor permits
Unpaid visitor permits are valid ONLY in Category C car parks. Spaces cannot be booked in advance and are not guaranteed. These permits can also be ordered in batches from Parking Services and must be used in conjunction with a valid pay-and-display ticket.
Pay-and-display
Pay-and-display parking costs £2.10 for up to 4hrs and £3.20 over 4 hrs. Evening parking at Tower Court costs 50p.
Public transport
Wherever possible hosts are reminded that visitors are encouraged to use public transport to reach the University and should ensure that they receive a University location map identifying the intended parking location if appropriate.
