What type of parking do I need?

The following prices will apply from 1st April 2013 to December 2013. When applying on MUSE before 1st April the staff charges shown will be pro rata over 9 months.

B (Scratch Card)

Needs Based. A permit must be used in conjunction with a prepaid parking scratch card. A permit gives licence to use any Category B or C space but does not guarantee a space will be available.

With scratch cards you only pay for parking on the days when you use the car parks.

C

No needs based assessment. Permit must be displayed with a valid Pay and Display ticket.

C spaces are limited and intended for occasional use only.

For all the above permits (except the On Call and Disabled Permit) a 1 mile exclusion zone will apply. Staff or students who live within 1 mile of the University will not be issued with a permit.

Staff may apply for a category A, B or C permit – the price of these permits vary and A and B permits require completion of a needs based eligibility assessment. Please refer to General Conditions for further information on the different types of permits and prices.

Students can apply for a Category B or C permit.

Members of the University who live or work at Student Residences will need a Category R permit. Please refer to the parking at student residences page for further information.
