Highlighted Events for Postgraduate Students

Below are a number of events that will be of interest to/or are specifically for Postgraduate Students. Come along and meet new and continuing Postgraduate students.

Monday 19th September 2011

Quiz Night: The Food Court, Level 4, University House, 8pm - 10pm

Come and test your wits against the quiz master! A free quiz of general knowledge and trivia. Feel free to come on your own and join a team on arrival, it's another great opportunity to meet new people and hopefully win some prizes. Refreshments and snacks will be provided!

Welcome Drinks for New Postgraduate Students: Interval Cafe Bar, SU Level 2, 6pm

A great chance to meet up with fellow new postgraduate students!

Welcome to the University Meeting for New Postgraduates, Richard Roberts Auditorium

09.30-10.30am Faculty of Social Sciences (except Management School)

11.30-12.30pm Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Pure Science, visiting students

13.30-14.30pm Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Management School

Students' Union Tours for Postgraduate Students

Tours Leave Students' Union Main Plaza at 10.45am, 12.45pm and 3pm Book yor free ticket at www.sheffieldsu.com This tour is specifically designed to focus on how Postgraduate students can make the most of facilities, services and activities the Students' Union has to offer. Tour lasts approximately 20 minutes and at the end you will get a FREE cup of tea or coffee.

Jazz Night: The Common Room, Level 5, University House, 9pm - 11pm

Come along for a night of smooth, chilled out Jazz. This is a popular event so get there early to avoid dissapointment (limited numbers)

Postgraduate Coffee Morning: Coffee Revolution, 10.30am

A chance to meet other postgrads and ask questions about living and studying in Sheffield.

Postgraduate Dinner at ASK/Pizza Express

6.30pm Meet on Concourse (outside Students' Union) Join other postgraduate students for a meal at a local restaurant. A great chance to meet your fellow postgraduates and enjoy some good food. This is always a popular event. Please e-mail progress@sheffield.ac.uk to confirm your place
