Bird sex-typing
The Facility has supported the typing of over 150 species of birds.
We have assessed the utility of published sex-typing markers (Dawson et al. 2001) and created a web-based database of the most suitable methods to sex-type different species.
We have recently developed new sex-typing markers which will be published in the near future.
