Your decision over where to study is a big one and, naturally, you want to make sure that you make the right choice.
To find out more about music at Sheffield you are warmly invited to come to an open day. There are two kinds of open days: University open days which take place in summer and music open days in winter/spring.
A general University open day lets you get a feel for what living and studying in Sheffield is like. The music open days show you the course content, facilities and opportunities on offer. You get to meet our staff and many of our current students.
Remember: when you book, your personal ID is your UCAS number
Music open days
We are committed to showing you what a music degree with us is all about, and how you will benefit from studying with us.
So, here at the Department of Music we hold a number of open days which include a tour of our facilities (and accommodation for those that haven't already seen it), a presentation about our research, music making and plenty of opportunities to ask questions. We are particularly pleased to include an opportunity to discuss the course with staff from all our specialist areas.
Before the open day you will receive an invitation to come and visit us. On the day you will be offered a tour of accommodation, a tour of the music department led by a current student or member of staff, and an opportunity to hear the department make music at a free lunchtime concert. This is your chance to find out why Sheffield is so well known for its research and research-led teaching and chat informally to staff and students over refreshments.
When are the music open days?
- Friday 7 February 2014
- Thursday 13 February 2014
- Thursday 20 February 2014
- Saturday 22 February 2014
- Thursday 3 April 2014
