Bernstein Novelties

Fresh from finishing his new book on "West SIde Story", Nigel Simeone has been invited to write all the website content and documentation for the forthcoming "Leonard Bernstein Project", under the artistic direction of Marin Alsop, running throughout the 2009-10 season at the South Bank Centre, London. Some of the recent Bernstein discoveries that he has made, along with others by Sheffield graduate student Sophie Redfern, will be included in forthcoming concerts in London and Sheffield.

Before then, Nigel is giving a pre-show talk on "West Side Story" at the Lyceum Theatre on 3 June, introducing the international touring production that he also spoke about at the start of its run in Paris, at the Châtelet Theatre. Nigel’s book is due out in October.
