A very big welcome to the Modern Languages Teaching Centre. We are sure you will enjoy studying with us.

An introductory meeting will be held at 10.00a.m. on Monday 20th September 2010, and will end at approximately 12 noon. The purpose of this meeting is to welcome you to the Department and for you to meet the Postgraduate teaching staff and your fellow students and to talk generally about the course. You will also meet your Personal Tutor. A series of activities will follow this meeting to assist you settling into your new environment. Please see the download links on the right of this page.

Please note that if you are holding a conditional offer it is important that you inform us as soon as you have evidence of having met the conditions e.g. IELTS or Degree results.

The regulations for each MA Programme have units which you ‘shall take’, and this means that they are core (compulsory) modules. All MA students also take Dissertation and Dissertation Support modules. All other modules are approved (optional).

The total number of credits which you can take is 120 for a Diploma and 180 for an MA.

The table on the right is a summary of what you need to do in Intro Week, in order to complete your registration. Please also see the MLTC timetable for Intro Week activities.

We are looking forward to meeting you in September and wish you all the best with your pre-arrival arrangements!
