Research Project (MMedSci only)
Original research projects are an essential element of the course for MMedSci students. Students will be attached to one particular research group and will get practical hands-on experience of carrying out a research study under the supervision of active researchers. Projects will be available in a wide range of clinical or non-clinical areas involving biochemical, molecular, sports and community nutrition studies. The majority of projects are carried out locally within the University hospitals or the community. Some projects are carried out at collaborative institutes in the UK and Overseas. Project topics usually reflect the general areas of current research interests in Sheffield. Some students' research work may be published in academic journals. (Examples of recent projects)
