School Annual Research Meeting - Call for Abstracts
Open to all investigators and researchers in the early stages of their career, including Lecturers, Postdoctoral Fellows, Research Assistants and Associates, Postgraduate and BMedSci Students in the Medical School and local Trusts. All areas are encouraged from basic to clinical, including translational and commercially funded research.
Abstracts will be reviewed by the School's Departmental Executives and the Research Meeting Working Group. 16 abstracts will be selected for oral presentation and the remaining abstracts will be presented as posters.
At the Research Meeting oral presentations and posters will be judged by Professor John Hardy from University College London, and Professor David Grundy, Professor of Biomedical Science (UoS). Prizes will be awarded for the best oral and poster presentations.
Submission of Abstract:
Please complete the abstract form (see downloads) and submit it to school-research-day@sheffield.ac.uk.
- Abstracts should be no more than 300 words. Submissions over this limit will not be considered
- All sections of the abstract form should be completed
- Only one abstract may be submitted per first author
- The format should be single line space with 11pt font
For inclusion in the meeting's abstract book your abstract is recommended to be subdivided into the following sections:
- Rationale and hypothesis
- Objectives
- Methodology
- Results
- Conclusion
Abstracts must be received no later than 17:00 on Monday 5th March 2012 for consideration by Departmental Executives and the Research Meeting Working Group.
